What do you do when you really need something from someone? You ask nicely! You make sure that your request is worded in the best possible way and there is nothing in it that may displease the person it is for. Marketing people do this every day on emails and so do all other people when they want to apply for leaves. So much effort is placed in pleasing people yet we find that there is no effort placed in asking from Allah our creator. Our Prayers are not worded correctly. We are negligent and take prayers for granted. It shouldn’t be so.
These were the thoughts that were buzzing in my mind when I set out to buy a book on prayers. I found many in the market. They contained prayers in beautiful words but there were no references given to them. You see, I always wanted to pray in the best way possible because I know that is the only way to get your prayers answered. This is why I was looking for prayers that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself prayed or instructed his companions to pray. I was lucky to enter that Darussalam outlet that day and find this book. It was just what I was looking for.
This book lists all prayers that were either prayed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or were instructed to the Sahabah. It also includes prayers that are found in the Noble Quran. Each prayer comes complete with a reference and you can check it whether it’s authentic or not. I loved every prayer of this book.
