Review Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet Long Review 1 Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a book over brimming with knowledge. I say knowledge and not information because there is a difference between these two. Most of the books on medicine today merely give you information and very few actually tell you how to use this information. The correct method of utilizing information in a beneficial way is knowledge. This book gives you exactly that. It states everything that our beloved Prophet Muhammad has mentioned as a cure for a disease. The book then explains how one can apply this cure on oneself to gain the maximum benefit out of it. All its claims are supported with authentic references from Quran and Sunnah. Based on the work of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah, this book first lists all kinds of diseases and then gives the cure of everything per the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. It further explains how one can use the natural medicines to gain the maximum benefit out of it and interestingly this isn’t the end of this book. After dealing with the physical illnesses and their cures, the book moves even further to the spiritual illnesses and diseases that are caused by the Jinn, magic and evil eye. This was the part where the book really caught my attention. It spoke about ruqya and how it can cure spiritual illnesses. The book further explains how one can properly do ruqya and use it to cure people troubled with jinn possession and black magic. Really nice book to read. Full of knowledge. Would definitely recommend to all Muslims.

Medicine of the Prophet is a great book for anyone looking to cure themselves through Quran. Yes, there is a cure of everything in Quran and since healing comes from Allah, saying the words of Allah are best when it comes to curing people. This book is also very comprehensive on Ruqyah and outlines our beloved Prophet’s guidance on treating sadness, grief and depression.
It is a very interesting book. Medicine of the Prophet. I just brought it for some light reading as I was travelling and wanted something to occupy my attention other than movies or wasting time on social media. Just going through the contents got me interested. I learnt that there are benefits of eating Lizards and neither allowed or disallowed eating them. I read that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) didn’t eat anything from the lizard cuisine that was presented to him, but still it was eaten in his presence.
I am a Hijama (wet cupping) practitioner and I was looking for books that could enlighten me further about my practice. Someone referred this book to me and I ordered it online. Although it had only 4 pages on cupping, the information it contained was very valuable. Reading the benefits of other herbs mentioned in this book was also very helpful for me as I was able to recommend those to my patients.
I brought this book from our local store and the first day I read it, I realized how ignorant I have been throughout my life. This book even enlists the benefits of an Egg! Breaks it down to yolk and egg white and tells you the benefits of each of them. That’s me just scratching the surface! You will never regret spending money on this one.
Medicine of the Prophet by Imam Ibn Qiyyim helped me in knowing so much about herbal treatments. This book gives you cures of not only the physical ailments, but also the spiritual ones. It is a must read for all Muslims looking to get rid of their dependency on allopathic chemicals found in Pharmacies.
