"The Emir and the Verse" is a special storybook that teaches a big lesson about fairness and kindness. It’s written by Fawzia Gilani-Williams and has pretty pictures by Ramendranath Sarkar. The story is about a rich Emir who loves a beautiful tapestry with the Verse of the Throne (Ayah-tul-Kursi) on it. But a huge storm comes and takes it away! The Emir is so sad, and the people want to make him happy again. They search everywhere and find another tapestry, but it belongs to a poor orphan. The orphan gives it up, even though it makes him sad, and writes a secret note to the Emir. This book is great for kids in grades K-4 and above and shows how being fair can make everyone happy!
